The Winter Term 2008 Mayan Study Abroad Program will visit the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico and the Mayan world. Students can enroll for GEOG 475 (Geog of the Yucatan) or SOCL 346 (Social Problems of the Yucatan). Program costs for the 16-night course are less than $2,000 (at $1,900) per student, which includes tuition, airfare, accommodation, transportation, meals, entrance fees, and the student identity card. Students are encouraged to apply for the WKU World-Topper scholarship, which could pay up to $500 toward the cost of the trip (visit the World-Topper website for an application), and Honors Program students are encouraged to apply for Honors scholarships (visit the Honors Program website for more information).
