"If a child is to keep his inborn sense of wonder, he
needs the companionship of at least one adult who
can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement and
mystery of the world we live in."

I am fortunate to have a very diverse professional life and I love
it! My time at Western Kentucky University is split between two Departments,
which are in two different colleges. My focus is in both early childhood
and instructional design.
It is my pleasure to teach courses through Consumer and Family Sciences
that lead toward the Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education Associate
of Arts Degree and the Child Studies Area of Concentration, Family
and Consumer Sciences BS Degree.
As an Early Childhood Education Specialist for Training
and Technical Assistance Services, I lead workshops and develop
materials for Head Start, childcare and other human service organizations
throughout the nation.
I serve as the Director for the Child
Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agency at Western Kentucky
University that serves the 10 counties in the Barren River Area Development
District.
As a consultant, I design instructional materials for the early childhood
community and many other audiences too. I also truly enjoy creating
materials that will be useful for administrators, teachers, caregivers
and parents. Below are a few published materials for which I am a
contributor.
